CLEANING
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away dirt or dust. For deeper cleaning, use a leather cleaner and applicator specifically designed for genuine leather. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials as they may damage the leather. To keep your leather soft and supple, apply a leather conditioner every 6-12 months. Follow the products instructions for best results. For stubborn stains or extensive cleaning needs, consult a professional leather cleaner who specializes in genuine leather.
WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND SPOT-TESTING IN A HIDDEN OR INCONSPICUOUS AREA OF YOUR LEATHER ITEM BEFORE SELF-TREATING TO PREVENT ADVERSE REACTIONS. EVERY LEATHER AND/OR COLOR REACTS DIFFERENTLY.
PROTECTION
Avoid using any perfumes, oils, makeup or alcohol-based products, (such as sanitizers), which can slowly discolor genuine leather and cause color-transfer onto fabric, (such as clothing or furniture). Leather is not waterproof. If your item gets wet, pat it dry with a clean, absorbent cloth and let it air-dry at room temperature. Do not use heat source to dry leather. Limit leather to prolonged exposure to the sun, as this can cause your leather to fade and dry out.
COLOR TRANSFER
Leather is a natural material, and although rare, it can occasionally transfer its color onto other surfaces, such as clothing. Similarly, dyes from clothing, particularly items like denim, can also transfer onto leather, especially on lighter-colored leather goods. To minimize the risk of color transfer, we recommend avoiding exposure to moisture, friction, humidity, and heat.
In the event that color transfer occurs, we suggest gently wiping the affected area with a soft, damp cloth. Always spot-test a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility. Avoid scrubbing too vigorously. Alternatively, we advise seeking the expertise of a professional leather cleaner for more delicate cleaning.
SCRATCHES & SCUFFS
Minor scratches and scuffs can often be buffed out with a soft, dry cloth or your fingertips. Gently rub the affected area to help blend it with the rest of the leather.
AGING
There may be slight color and grain variations which are characteristics of the natural leather and are individual to each item. Please note that genuine leather may develop a natural patina over time, enhancing its beauty and character. Embrace these unique characteristics as a sign of its authenticity and quality.
STORAGE
We highly recommend keeping all original packaging (box, dust bag, stuffing, etc.) that you received with your item. When not in-use, place your leather item in its dust bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Extreme heat or dryness can cause leather to become brittle, while excessive humidity can promote mold growth. Maintain a moderate, controlled environment for your leather items. When traveling use your dust bag to prevent friction and scratching during transit - if space allows, utilize the box to prevent potential compression and indentations.
ADDITIONAL TIPS
Avoid overloading your leather bag or accessories to maintain its natural shape. Rotate the use of leather items to ensure even wear. Regular care and attention will help your leather product age gracefully.
